About Real Love

Most of us are not genuinely happy, and we prove that with our desperate pursuit of money, power, sex, and entertainment—and with our anger, constant seeking of approval, and withdrawing from relationships.

Very few of us have received the unconditional love we need more than anything else to be happy. Instead, we've been "loved" when we've met the expectations of others, which leaves us feeling empty and alone. To fill our emptiness, and to protect ourselves from pain, we manipulate and control the people around us in predictable ways that consistently lead to disaster in relationships. Two people without sufficient Real Love cannot enjoy a loving and happy relationship. They can only experience the temporary satisfaction of Imitation Love in the form of praise, power, pleasure, and safety.

Most of us have been searching all our lives for the secret to happiness. Learn why we—and other people—keep behaving in ways that are so unproductive, even harmful. Learn how to take the simple and powerfully effective steps that lead to the Real Love that invariably gives us the genuine, lasting happiness we want.
